Proximal Attachment:  Anterior inferior iliac spine and the acetabulum

Distal Attachment:  Patellar tendon

Action: Knee extension and hip flexion

Needle Insertion:  In the supine patient midway between the knee and anterior superior iliac spine.

Activation for EMG:   Have the patient lift their leg off the table.
