Clival chordoma, H&E stain x 400
Multi-Vacuolated cells, referred to as physaliferous cells (having the appearance of being filled with soap bubbles), are characteristically present within chordomas. However, similar cells may be seen in adenocarcinomas and/or chondrosarcomas requiring immunohistochemical distinction for diagnosis.
