Corticalbasal ganglionic degeneration, coronal section of brain 3 thalamus and basal ganglia.
Of the Parkinsonian movement disorders, corticobasal ganglionic degeneration is unique both in involvement of the cerebral cortex, and in the asymmetry of this cortical involvement (in this patient demonstrating predilection for the left posterior frontal and parietal lobes).
