White Matter Neurons, neurofilament immunohistochemical stain
White matter neurons are more easily found within neurofilament immunostained sections. In order to obtain an acceptable level of signal to noise ratio, immunohistochemical staining must be done with antibodies directed against non-phosphorylated neurofilament epitopes.
