Islands of tumor cells track along the perivascular spaces. Diagnosis of primary meningeal melanoma requires exclusion of extra-neural melanomas, but also obtained to demonstrate fewer mitotic figures and less coagulative tumor necrosis. In addition, a generally demonstrate a much more favorable postoperative outcome.
