Action: Adducts the thight
Needle Insertion: Approximtaely four centimeters distal to the pubic bone in the supine patient with the legs slightly abducted .
Activation for EMG: The patient is asked to close their legs.
Pitfalls:
Notes:
- Should be normal in a pure femoral mononeuropathy.
- We feel the muscle is more easily palpated when the leg is slightly externally rotated.
