Polygyria, dorsal surface of brain

Polygyria, also sometimes called pseudo-polymicrogyria, is seen in hydrocephalic infants secondary to compression of the developing cortex against the inner table of the skull. Microscopically, cytoarchitectonic disturbances are not identified.
