Periventricular hemorrhagic infarct and contralateral hydrocephalus, coronal section of brain
With enough bleeding into the ventricular system, veins within the periventricular white matter are compressed leading to venous infarction (radiologic intraventricular hemorrhage grade IV), seen here on the left. In addition there is unilateral hydrocephalus on the right secondary to occlusion of the foramen of Monro by clotted blood
