Pilocytic Astrocytoma x400

Rosenthal fibers, consisting of partially degraded intracytoplasmic accumulation of glial filaments, are characteristically seen within the solid portions of pilocytic astrocytomas. Their irregular globular to elongate shape distinguishes them from displaced red blood cells.
