The patient suffered from neurofibromatosis type I and eventually develop a malignant peripheral nerve sheath tumor which metastasize widely including the leptomeninges. This section demonstrates marked thickening of the arachnoid by tumor, accompanied by invasion into the adjacent cerebral cortex.
