Desmoplastic infantile astrocytoma, H&E stain x100

Initially described as superficial cerebral astrocytomas attached to the dura in infancy, it is now recognized that D. superficial desmoplastic gliomas may or may not demonstrate divergent differentiation, but still share a common presentation and favorable prognosis.
