Huntington disease, coronal section through basal ganglia (control brain on right).

The profile of the caudate nucleus with respect to the lateral ventricle corresponds roughly with the degree of impaired mobility in patients with Huntington disease. Patients demonstrating a flat profile as seen here are generally wheelchair bound.
