Freidreich Ataxia Spinal Cord - Loss of Dorsal Columns
This image shows a slice of spinal cord from a patient with Freidreich Ataxia.
The tissue has been stained with a myelin stain.
All myelin should appear dark.
Note the loss of myelin in the posterior columns, spinocerebellar tracts, and corticospinal tracts.
