    upper trunk

Brachial Plexus Cords:
    lateral cord

Named Nerves:
    musculocutaneous nerve

Proximal Attachment:  coracoid process of the scapula. long head: supraglenoid tubercle

Distal Attachment:  radial tuberosity

Action:  flexes elbow and supinates forearm

Needle Insertion: With the arm supinated the needlie is inserted midway between the biceps tendon and the anterior shoulder.

Activation for EMG:  Flex the elbow with the hand supinated.
