Hemorrhagic infarct, transverse section through cerebellum and medulla.
Occlusion of the posterior inferior cerebellar artery with infarction involving dorsal medulla and inferior cerebellar hemisphere. Dissolution of the occluded portion supplying the cerebellar hemisphere resulted in reperfusion of a necrotic capillary bed with hemorrhagic transformation.
