    radial nerve

Proximal Attachment:  lateral epicondyle (common extensor tendon)

Distal Attachment:  2nd and 3rd phalanges

Action:  extension of hand and fingers

Needle Insertion: With the forearm supinated the needle is placed four centimeters distal to the olecrenon, three centimeters above the ulna.

Activation for EMG:  Extend the middle finger.
