Dysembryoplastic Neuroepithelial Tumor, Coronal section at the level of the parietal occipital junction.
On coronal surface, the tumor can be seen to be predominantly based within the cerebral cortical ribbon rather than in the underlying white matter. In addition the tumor is well demarcated from both the adjacent normal-appearing cortical ribbon and underlying normal-appearing white matter. This patient had been followed for several decades with a diagnosis of static intrauterine brain injury, weight stable appearances on several neuroimaging studies done during that period.
