This is a gadolinium-enhanced T1-weighted MRI of the brain. The image shows an unusual enhancement of the pachymeninges, which may be seen in meningitis.

The bright rim around the parenchyma of the brain is the pachymeninges, which show an unusual degree of enhancement in this image. This finding may be seen in meningitis.
