Cockayne syndrome, multiple coronal sections of brain
Relatively normal appearing cerebral cortex accompanied by decreased white matter volume with dilated lateral ventricles. Basal ganglia appear dark, perhaps secondary to extensive microcalcification. Compare to the section of normal brain, below.
